How does Santa walk around if the elves are 1/3 of an inch?

Well Santa can walk around because he shrinks. he could just use his magic and shrink but he likes to make his elves work. He had them make him a door that shrinks him. Now my little bro asked me "Why are all the elves in movies half as tall as santa" well I will tell you now that they use real humans as elves. shocking isn't it.
